Parable of the Talents
Jesus' parable about servants, gifts, courage, and using what God has entrusted to us.
Short Bible Story Preview
Jesus told of a master who entrusted money to three servants before going on a journey. Two servants worked faithfully and increased what they had been given. They did not all receive the same amount, but both used their gifts with care.
The third servant was afraid. Instead of trying, he hid his talent in the ground. When the master returned, he praised the faithful servants and corrected the one who had buried his gift.
For children, the parable is not mainly about coins. It is about using time, kindness, attention, creativity, and courage. God does not ask every child to have the same gifts. He asks each child to use what has been given.
